<> <> (Foreshadow foreshadow.) <> * Leopoldo lets Ian lead the way. "I don't exactly know the make of your skimmer, so you'll have to lead the way. Or at least point it out." Ah, it's in a garage - not too far to go, though. * Ian turns a corner, and then 'prints in to a security pad. "It's not too fast, but we should get there within an hour or so. About how far over is your ship orbiting?" * Leopoldo nods. "Second orbit out, so it shouldn't be too far." * Ian nods, and talks as they head up a few floors to the bay. "Okay. I'll be sorry to see you go, but I'm probably going to leave as well...a little intrigue is one thing, but this is quite another." <> * Leopoldo shrugs. "Yeah, I know what you mean. I mean, I don't mind the company, but I'm no good at stealing, I have no clue how to fight, and I'm not even decent at gathering information..." I'm just not cut-out for this kind of thing. Maybe if it was a bit safer, I'd be more comfortable about staying. You apparently feel the same way. * Ian nods. "You really do help, I think. But I'm not up for dealing with that kind of danger." * Ian hops into the skimmer. * Leopoldo hops in as well, making sure his tail doesn't get bunched up or stuck. "Wow, you got more confidince in my abilites than I do. Ooooo, I know. I can remember the lyrics of any song ever on the radio, not like it helps much..." * Ian grins. "Eh. Even if you don't have any special skills yet, every helping hand makes things easier." He shrugs. "Though that doesn't matter, now." * Ian closes up the skimmer, starts up, and checks in for departure. <> (Cleared by ATC^2 to go?) I'll be glad to leave it behind. Last thing I want is the police to actually be after me. * Ian nods. "Definitely." <> "You are cleared for departure, Mr. Savolino." Aaand off we go! * Ian takes off! <> Second orbit, right? Yes. * Ian keys in the course, then. <> Okay, there we go. Where are you off to, again? Probably never heard of it, but the Carner asteroid colony. <> Hmm, it rings a faint bell... * Ian prepares for docking. <> "Skimmer registered to Ian Savolino, please halt your current course and stand down security systems." * Leopoldo points at his ship. "There's my ship." * Ian blinks, doubletakes, and does so. He sounds rather nervous. "Done, sirs. What seems to be the problem?" * Leopoldo blinks. "What's going on?" ...Leo...your ship's all legal. Right? "This ship is currently under quarantine for suspected contraband traffic. Our orders are to guard it and search traffic attempting to dock with it. Your skimmer qualifies." * Ian looks over at him. * Leopoldo shrugs. It is completly legal. "One of the patrol cars will now dock with your skimmer. Standby for boarding." * Ian turns back to the monitor, and shrugs. "Okay." * Leopoldo leans back and relaxes. <> I really don't know what they're doing here. * Ian accepts the request. Strange, then...I wonder what's going on. My registration's all legal, so... So is mine. * Ian nods. <> "Ian Savolino and Leopoldo Grahovac." <> "Mr. Grahovac, you are the owner of that vessel outside, yes?" Yes. What seems to be the matter, officer? <> "We recieved a tip from a creditable source that you and perhaps people associated with you were operating an art smuggling ring. Your registration contract with ATC^2 allows us to board, search, and possibly impound your vessel with probable cause. Consider it a courtesy we have not yet done so." <> * Ian raises an eyebrow. "Art smuggling?" * Leopoldo looks at him strangely. "Art smuggling?" * Ian doesn't pay much attention to the other officer - it's a cheap skimmer. <> "Art smuggling. The stealing, transporting, and illegal markup of objet' d art." * Ian just shrugs politely, and sits back, then. Thank you for the explaination. * Leopoldo sits back too. * Ian nods. "Thanks." <> <> "It appears this skimmer is clear. We will now commence our investigation of the vessel outside. If you wish to observe, dock and do so. But stay out of the officers' way." Thank you, officer. <> * Leopoldo sighs. "What do you want to bet Ander has something to do with this?" * Ian looks back at the skimmer, and shakes his head. "How absolutely delightful. Do you want to head up there?" Him or the Concordat, I'd bet. If Roy missed one of the cameras, they know us. That's just peechy. * Ian nods. Let's take it down. I don't want to see my ship ripped up right now. (OOC, you're forgetting the more obvious way they'd know you.) (That being the statue? ^_^) (Statue?) (Well, artifact. That we stole.) (No, silly, the party. Leo wasn't masked.) (Ah!) * Ian nods, and starts back down. "I can't blame you...so, what now? I could take you back there on my ship, I guess, but then yours would be stuck here." * Leopoldo frowns. "They know I'm involved." * Ian sighs. "And after this, they'll probably search my ship, too." My first instinct is to find out who told them, and then do something unpleasant. But that would only lead to more trouble. <> * Ian looks over, and winces. "Jesus H. Christ on a pogo stick..." * Leopoldo rolls his neck, and sighs. "There's nothing we can do now, though. Apparently Roy wasn't perfect with his way of taking care of security." * Ian nods. "We should let the others know what's happening, at least." * Ian sighs, and sets in a course for landing. I suppose I'll need to learn how to fight, then. But I really don't want to deal with this. <> * Leopoldo gets up and looks over where the creeking came from. "I don't like the sound of this." * Ian groans. "It'll be okay, but I'll need to get this checked out before I take off again." (Anything else to say before I cut off?) (...you're going to do it, aren't you.) (>____>) * Leopoldo sighs. "Perfect." (Do what?) (Done here.) (No, I'm going to end the session. ^^;) (Have us crash into a lake and nearly get eaten by a big fish! ;___;) <>
