<> <> ( "Tut tut, it looks like rain!" ) <> * Katherine is loaded up, wearing a pair of black shorts and a black t-shirt with MindRingers written on the front, and her black leather jacket over it, and a simple pair of black boots. "So, anyone who wants to come along ready?" * Demetreia is sitting on the floor quietly, dressed in her usual ensemble. "Yes." * Rochelle stops looking out the window to nod at Kat. "Not like I have anything better to do." <> * Katherine smirks. "That's the spirit. Get a move on, then, we've only got so much time." She opens the door. * Rochelle does, then! She picks up her windbreaker, putting it on as she goes. No sense in getting too wet. * Demetreia drapes the plasticky thing over her head again as she walks out. <> <> * Katherine starts ticking things off on her fingers as she walks, and talking as people aren't nearbyy. "Alright. The key things are figuring out if he has any patterns and looking for any security, and getting ideas of good entry points, and exit points, if Ian's plan goes awry.' She makes a distasteful face. Do we have any information about his career, if he has one? * Katherine nods. "He's a researcher at a local Tform place." (Tform = Terraforming.) He has regular hours? * Rochelle rubs at her nose. Despite the drizzle, she doesn't put her hood up, and her hair starts accumulating drops. * Katherine shrugs. "No clue, but people want to go today, so unless those hours are tonight, it doesn't much matter." Her ears twitch. * Demetreia nods. * Rochelle rubs at her shoulder. "We're not in that big of a hurry." <> (Tube. ^^;) Me neither, but that's part'a bein' in a team. Don't always go your way. * Katherine walks subway-ward. <> Yeah, but... * Rochelle shrugs. * Katherine doesn't bother running for it. "I don't know. I'm just in it so fate leaves me the hell alone." She chuckles. "Although if any of those techobabble things are useful, that'd be a nice bonus." <> * Rochelle watches it go. "I guess. Doesn't make any sense to me." <> <> (Just feel luckier than Ian. He almost got trapped in a station during a nanite cleaning, and that's not good for one's health.) (Heh.) ( Eeew. ) (It wasn't really his fault, there apparently was a glitch in the system. The train dropped him off ten seconds before the cleaning began and they're not supposed to do that.) (Huh.) ( CONSPIRACY. <.< ) * Katherine enters the train, and waits for Deme to enter, before saying, "So, why are you along on all this anyway? You didn't seem all that receptive towards the whole deal, with the stealing not being in your programming, and all." She grins at that. * Demetreia looks rather unhappy. "It seems to me that if we survey the situation, perhaps we shall find another way to procure the artifact." <> * Rochelle flops on a chair and eyes the cartoon. "Yeah, that programming thing." * Katherine sits down somewhere nearby too. * Demetreia stands against a rail-thingy, not seeming to move at the lurch. * Rochelle takes a moment to glance around before saying, "So, what's with that anyway? You don't think you're a robot or something, do ya?" * Demetreia blinks at Rochelle. "Think I am a robot? Of course not." I am the first successful full true cyborg incarnation created. <> <> * Katherine 's eyes widen. "Really? Who pulled that one off?" * Rochelle blinks a couple times. * Rochelle glances at the old lady before turning her attention back to Demetreia. I believe my programmer/creators were employed by DunnoCorp. <> * Katherine leans back. "Ah, figures--" and is pitched forward! Ouch! * Demetreia doesn't move. "I wonder what the cause of that was?" * Rochelle grimaces and grabs a chair to brace herself. She immediately looks up. <> * Katherine rubs her head and looks about. "The fuck?" 2d6-4 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Demetreia (2d6-4) and gets 4. 2d6 2d6 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Katherine (2d6) and gets 10. * Dicesuke throws the bones for Rochelle (2d6) and gets 10. (Thank you, symetry bot. Ass.) * Demetreia peers at the Sleythin ad. "Now, that's odd." ( Right, will do. ) * Rochelle squints. "What the hell?" What? * Rochelle gets to her feet and reaches out to poke at the cartoon Sleythin. There seems to be a malfunction in the hoload progression system. Either that, or something very very strange is going on. * Katherine looks where Roch is poking. "I'm more worried about the malfunction in the goddamn movement system." <> "We're sorry for the interruption in service, there appears to have been a glitch in the system. We assure you that the train is safe to continue riding." <> <> * Rochelle waves her hand through it. "Oh, so that's what did it." * Demetreia settles back. "Good point." * Rochelle flops back onto her chair, curiosity satisfied. * Katherine gets back in a chair too. "Christ." <> <> <> * Rochelle sits quietly, like a good girl, and gets off the train when it's time to get off. * Demetreia does the same as Rochelle, only standing. * Katherine journeys. "So, what's the full conversion entail? You'll have to forgive me, but a full cyborg is a whole new step in cybernetics." I am afraid I cannot disclose that information. * Katherine pauses, then replies dryly, "... Of course." And then stays silent! <> * Rochelle speaks up. "You mean you don't know?" * Rochelle gets off the train. <<80th Street station is empty, except for the transit company employee in the booth. You walk up and out into the rain again - you're at 1200 East 80th - only a block's walk away.>> * Demetreia leaves. "Not fully. My programmers felt that the information would be too easily lost, if anything were to happen to me." And in any case--how detailed is the information humans receive regarding their creation process? * Katherine starts off for 1370. "Good point, I suppose." * Rochelle glances at Deme, a little bit of sympathy showing through. "Yeah, but most of us at least know who our parents are." * Demetreia kind of half-shrugs, but says nothing. <<1370 East 80th is a brick walkup, a lot like Kat's. There's a single front door, just like Kat's, and an alley on either side, just like Kat's.>> < * Katherine frowns. "I don't think that'll help Ian's pizza idea any." She walks by the apartment, and looks for any other more accessible large buildings. <> * Rochelle shakes her head. "Probly not." <> * Demetreia bites her lip a little. "This looks to be more difficult than anticipated." <> Isn't it always? <> * Katherine frowns. "Definitely. I'm almost tempted to say a suit assault would be the only easy way to go, if noisy." (What's with the someone else's apartment? Empty now? Available?) <> * Rochelle shrugs. "I don't wanna get caught, though." She frowns. * Katherine mms. "Do you think the open apartment would have a key to get into the building left in there?" (Keep in mind I've got 15 minutes left to do things.) (If Roch would indicate her awakedness, I think I'd take a shot. ^_^;) (I'm awake?) (I'm just not sure what to do? >.>) (Say yes or no!) (Sorry, Kevin was keeping me from thinking.) (Stop that or I make Leo pink for all eternity.) * Rochelle tilts her head. "Well, if it's open... maybe." * Katherine frowns, and says, "Alright. A quick peek, in and out." She rubs her hands and looks a bit nervous. * Rochelle nods. She seems rather calm about it. "Okay." * Katherine goes to the window of the dance studio, looks across the way, backs way up, and jumps it! <> 2d6-1 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Katherine (2d6-1) and gets 6. (Missed by 1.) <> * Rochelle looks up. "You okay?" * Katherine winces and grits her teeth, saying as quietly as possible, "Ow." She clambers up, trying not to break anything and trying to gauge if there is anyone inside. <> <> <> <> (If she indeed wants to jump.) * Rochelle jumps up, sure! (Same roll?) * Katherine , meanwhile, starts to look around quickly (purse, dresser, near door, jacket pocket) for possible backup building keys. (Yep.) 2d6-1 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Rochelle (2d6-1) and gets 8. (DR1) 2d6-1 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Rochelle (2d6-1) and gets 6. (Missed by two.) (Ouch.) (Not gonna use the other DR?) (... Bah, why not.) 2d6-1 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Rochelle (2d6-1) and gets 9. (...) (3!) 2d6-1 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Rochelle (2d6-1) and gets 7. (... Y'know... :P) <> (Ha ha ha!) <>> * Rochelle climbs in easily enough, thanks to *real* divine intervention. <> <> * Rochelle points it out. "That's easy." * Katherine grabs 7001's keyring, and whispers, "What a damn nice stroke of luck." She replaces it with a key for an apartment that hasn't been let yet, so the rack looks almomst normal! * Rochelle nods. * Katherine then whispers, "Let's get the fuck out, then." She focuses for a second, and then does so! Jump back across! <> <>
