<> <> <> 2d6 ( Right. ) <> (Uuuhhh.) (I might have that. I don't know what I have. *checks*) ( Holy smokes. I made it. ) ( * Vera realizes it shoots bullets! :P ) (Nope! But I have some idea that it'll hurt if it hits me!) <> d6+6 (You'll have to roll in main channel.) (Init is +attack?) (+ACV, yes.) (Oookay, so.) (Nickchange, and you've got to roll on the mainchannel.) <> (Eh-hem.) <> (Yay! ^_^) * Leopoldo looks around frantically for a place to hide or duck behind, and failing to see one, decides running for the other end of the hallway would work just as well. Hopefully the turret wouldn't notice him or something... Hey, you can hope, right? <> * Ian drops the pizza and dashes forward, trying to get so close to the turret that it won't be able to aim at him. He looks for a control box or wiring. * Vera dashes to the left first, then down the hallway. "It fires in a pre-set pattern! Get away from the wardrobe!" <> ( Oops. I didn't realize you were calling turns. Sorry @_@ ) 2d6-4 ( Doh ) ( Nope. ) <> ( Yep ) <> ( Yep ) <> * Vera shakes her head as she dashes. "Woah. Trippy." * Fitzroy detaches from the keypad and tries to get out of the way of the turret. He follows Vera 'cause she seems to know what she's doing. <> (Somebody catch him up.) <> (How far away is the turning place? And someone tell me what happened after Vera yelled?) <> * Leopoldo keeps running down the hallway for the bend in it, trying to get there before the turret (as he doesn't know it) is turning. <> * Ian ducks past the turret and runs for the bend, keeping very low. <> * Vera does the same thing, managing not to lose her hat as she does. <> * Fitzroy goes for the bend too! <> * Ian looks around for any other threats. We gotta watch out. I saw a lot more systems than one turret attached to that keypad. <> * Vera peers at the pannel. "You're up, Fitz." * Ian notes no more threats in the immediate vicinity, and starts cursing. It's quiet, but passionate. * Fitzroy nods. "Let's see what I can find" * Fitzroy walks up to the panel and opens the door on it. * Ian is now, quietly and efficiently, covering Anders' and the Condordat's general parentage, occasionally slipping into Italian when the right word doesn't immediately suggest itself. * Leopoldo breathes heavily, and his scales turn back to their normal color. "What was up with that?!" * Fitzroy 's chain on his wrist melts again and attaches itself to the circuitry inside. Cheap security measure, I guess. Apparently our *dear* friend Anders was just a *little* too fucking preoccupied with some side issue to think to mention the fact that we might want to DUCK and all. Oh, he probably just doesn't care, is all. * Ian goes back to muttering. "We must see about changing that particular little situation, then." The more I know of Anders, the less I trust him. * Fitzroy breaths out.. "Ok, alarm is off, cameras and guns are off,.. doors should be open.. aaand I don't see anyone else in this place." Guns plural? * Vera nods. "Good." * Fitzroy nods. "There are even guns outside in sewer grates and such." Good lord. Somebody doesn't want people down here. Protective. A bit too much. Can we please get what we came for and get out, now? * Vera shrugs. "Oh well. Too bad." She proceeds forward. * Ian sighs and continues on. * Fitzroy detaches. "We should be good to go." Thanks, Roy. * Fitzroy follows Vera. * Leopoldo follows as well. Thank you. <> <> .... Yeah. Thanks Roy. ...yow. * Fitzroy nods and grins "No problem." * Vera moves forward! <> * Vera enters the room <> <> * Vera looks at the safe. "Anyone have any experience in safe cracking? None here. * Leopoldo follows. "Cracing safes? Um... no. I could always try the direct approach if it comes to that, though." * Fitzroy shakes his head. I think it's going to. * Vera stands back and gestures at the safe. "Get cracking, Leo." * Fitzroy peers at the planetary maps. * Leopoldo walks up to the safe. "I don't suppose any of you would have a crowbar handy?" Or something that I could hit it with? < <> * Leopoldo takes the chair. Metal or DunnoWood? <> * Leopoldo takes the chair and tries to jab the leg through the safe's door. <> (SS apply?) (yup.) 2d6-2 (Oh, right.) <> * Fitzroy is startled away from looking at the map at the noise. * Leopoldo flinches, even though the debris didn't do any visible damage to him. He tries to open the safe now, if it isn't open already. (Err, didn't open from the impact.) Impressive. Well done! <> (Walther PPK. Sorry.) * Vera peers. "Wha-? Not here?" Dang.. Hey Ian, whaddya make of these maps? (Vera! Military Recognition roll.) * Ian whistles. "That's quite a classic. Hmm?" < <> * Leopoldo checks the ID on his phone. <> * Leopoldo answers it. "Hello Kat. Have something to share with us?" (Make sure to relay over /msg) We're in some heavily guarded underground facility looking for the artifact. * Vera looks around the room some more. "Hmmmm.... Dammit." (Did you make that roll, Vera?) * Fitzroy pulls his small camera out of his pocket and connects it to his comp, which has been in a different pocket. ( Yeah. Failed. ) * Ian thinks for a second, and then taps on the back of the safe, to see if it's hollow. <> (Damn.) I'm gonna record this. It's bound to be useful. * Fitzroy does so. See if you can contact Anders, Fitz. Otherwise, we're going home empty-handed. Shoot. Well, I'll relay the message. * Leopoldo turns from his phone. "Guys? They found Mr. Roberto coming up. They knocked him out, but we got until he calls the cops to get out of here. Oh, wonderful. Fun * Leopoldo turns back to the phone. We've found a number of things, but no artifact. I'll try to contact Anders.. Thanks. I doubt the cops would know about this place, though. They have gun turrets guarding even the sewers. Ok, he says investigate everything. We ought to make this trip worthwhile. * Vera rubs her forehead. "Oh man..." * Fitzroy starts looking around the room. * Vera starts investigating. * Ian starts digging. Joy! <> * Vera looks at the desk, inside the desk if there's any drawers, including any secret drawers she might find. * Leopoldo nods and talks some more. "You sure the landlord wouldn't have a master key?" We need an artifact that finds other artifacts. * Fitzroy checks out those ID cards after he's done recording those maps. <> * Leopoldo sighs. "It looks like we broke into some 'Super Spy's' secret base, or something. Bunches of ID cards, multiple credit chips, and very heavily guarded." * Ian looks at the walls and floor for any bits that don't fit in. <> * Fitzroy goes over to the wall screen to check it out. * Leopoldo walks over to the wallscreen as well, still on the phone. "Please do that. We don't know how long this'll take." <> * Leopoldo blinks and turns off the phone. He pockets it again and looks at the weapon. "I... think we found it." * Ian blinks. * Vera doesn't notice, checking the desk and all. She peers at the papers. "I guess this guy's working for them after all." She looks up at Leo. "Hm?" * Ian then grins. "Anyone mind if I carry this one?" <> * Leopoldo thinks. "Are there any cameras in here?" * Vera walks over. "You found it?" The cameras are dead. * Ian hefts the gun. "It was a Walther PPK when we opened the safe. When I shifted it a bit, it changed." Oh. Cool. * Ian stows it in a hidden pocket of his pizza delivery uniform. "Shall we get out of here?" <> Great. Let's get out of here. * Vera nods. Man! This thing's heavy. <> * Fitzroy nods "Let's go" * Ian stumbles, and takes it back out of the pocket. "What the heck...?" Let me see it. * Ian hands it to Vera. * Vera looks it over. Is something wrong with it? <> * Vera blinks and stares at it in surprise. "What the heck?" * Fitzroy eyes the gun, 'cause he wasn't paying attention to it before. Now that's just odd. * Vera pulls out her normal gun. "Huh. Same thing." Ian, what kinda gun do you use normally? * Ian pulls it out of another pocket. "It's a WD .38...pretty big." ( *coughPHALLICOBJECTcough* ) Oh. Well, so much for that theory. * Ian shrugs. "You want to try carrying it?" I guess so. Right. Shall we? * Vera nods. "Let's split." * Ian heads out! * Leopoldo heads out too! PLEASE, GET ME OUT OF HERE! * Vera stows the guns inside her trenchcoat and heads out * Fitzroy goes! <> Leave the key inside? * Fitzroy tries to make the elevator work, "hmm?" * Leopoldo takes out his cell phone and calls Kat. <> * Ian is! * Leopoldo is too! * Vera is! <> Right! Let's get the hell out of here. * Vera nods. She heads for the door. <>
