<< As/After Leo walks out of the pool area... Minifile 8.3 secret split! >> %% Yeah fucking right. %% %% If you're so concerned, you should say something. %% * Katherine frowns, and shakes her head. "It's not that damn simple. You want to tag along to the hardware store or not, because I gotta go or else I'll never get any sleep." * Threnody blinks, then stands up and shoulders his bokken all samurai-style. "I might as well. I'm still feeling troubled." * Katherine smirks faintly. "Well, you look more tired than troubled." She eyes him up and down. "Although you dried pretty well. Good thing you weren't in the pleather." * Threnody hangs the sword over his shoulders again, lacing his hands across it. "I think I'm going to give up on that... in a way, talking to Rochelle made me realize that it was a little stupid." * Katherine stands and starts walking, with the purse. "Oh? I disagree. Anything that makes you look good can't be that stupid." (If you keep talking will it be good talk or stupid talk?) * Threnody doesn't turn around to answer. "But... would the person underneath it change no matter what's being worn?" (Define both and I can answer.) * Katherine peers at Thren. "What? No, they wouldn't change. But what's wrong with looking good?" (Talk that enriches and deepens your personal relationship and the fabric of the game vs. drivel like "It's such a beautiful night here on Earth!") (The latter seems unlikely knowing these two.) (Aren't the stars beautiful, Thren-darling?) * Threnody turns his head a little, and smiles, perhaps a little mischievously. "Are you saying I don't look good without those clothes?" (The latter also includes things that would end up lle the previous mini which has now been cut.) * Katherine grins in an equally mischevious manner. "No, I wouldn't say that at all." * Threnody nods confidently and turns, continuing to walk. "Then it shouldn't matter at all." %% After all, I've seen you with your clothes off. %% * Threnody then blushes serious scarlet, but manages not to sputter or fall over. * Katherine laughs a little, and keeps walking. "Well, maybe it wouldn't matter to me. Weren't you doing this to stay under the radar anyway?" * Threnody sighs and looks at the sky. "I think we've proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that deception is not my forte." * Katherine doesn't talk for a second, and then nods. "I'll buy that." * Threnody continues to walk on in front despite not knowing where to go, although 'off the hotel grounds' is a good start. "I hope Rochelle will forgive me for what happened." * Katherine shrugs. "It'll happen. After all, she only punched you once." She smirks. "That's forgiveness right there!" <> (Thank god it's not Do-it Best.) * Threnody shakes his head distractedly. "That's... venting, not forgiveness. I didn't know I was going to hurt her so badly by asking, though..." * Katherine shakes her head, and is walking towards that beautiful ACE hardware in the not-a-huge distance. She says with a hint of uncertainty, "You'd sorta figure a telepath would see that coming." * Threnody frowns, and stops, turning around. "That was a cheap shot." * Katherine frowns and stops as well. "No, no, I meant... experience. I mean, telepathy's your power." She brings up her hand, and points at the claws. "What if I walked around cutting people with these?" * Threnody sighs. "And you're saying you never cut anyone with them accidentally? While you were surprised, or distracted, or anything else that would make your care slip?" * Katherine grins faintly. "No, you're right." * Threnody tilts his head. "Then I'm afraid I don't get the comparison." <> * Katherine shakes her head. "Nevermind. It just seems like something you have to be careful with. Everyone makes mistakes." * Threnody sighs and turns toward Ace. (> ENTER) "I didn't go into it blindly, or trying to hurt her. I would have left it alone, if it hadn't been so... pressing. A premonition of death so strong as to be 'certainty' on the eve of tomorrow?" (I was about to kill you but everyone in here is safe.) (Whew.) (Well, there goes this session's safeness. We should cut it in half. ^_^;) (As per usual. Just keep it the same mini and stick a pipe between them.) * Katherine nods. (I sort of assumed Ard's own brother knew. :P) (I did. :P) <> * Katherine walks into the hardware store as well, obviously. "Sorta important, sorta irrelevant. I mean... hell, we're all walking in to die." She's just got a leading edge on it. (Ah, Kat. So fatalistic.) <> * Katherine speaks up, saying, "Yo, old man. Where can I find a laser cutter?" (Do we really have to put telepathy in /msg? c.c;) (*snicker*) * Threnody stands behind Katherine and offset a bit, looking around innocently. (If you can keep it directed, no. Just make sure people don't think it's an all-message.) (Oh, good.) <> * Katherine goes for the clutter at a brisk pace. %% Do you really think that? I don't think you're the type to die for someone like Anders. %% * Katherine smirks, and turns into the aisle. %% Ha! Fuck no. I just know that there's a time, and you don't know when it's yours. How can you step up if you're afraid today's gonna be it? %% <> (Craftsman is better. Lifetime warrenty.) * Threnody looks at paint thinner with an air of fake wonder. %% There's an old saying among iai students. 'To see death is the same as dying'. %% * Katherine takes Craftsman, and says the obligitory. "You just can't beat a lifetime warranty." (If only I could spell it.) (Same here.) (Warranty.) (So we were both half wrong!) <> (Yes!) * Katherine makes sure Anders foots the bill. %% Yeah, well, I've seen death. %% <> (Thank you, Roll.) <> (What's the size of a laser cutter?) (Remote control) (Most of it heat dispersal) (Ha.) * Katherine waves around her slightly deadly remote control. * Threnody looks back at the store, then up at the sky. "You're all really going tomorrow... even knowing what we know, and I don't just mean 'fortunetelling'." * Katherine shrugs. "What else should we do? Leo and Ian tried to escape, and ATC somehow got in the way. I don't need to run into ATC, thanks." * Katherine grins faintly. "Always better to be in the middle than to only feel the side effects. Sounds like something the bitch would say, if she could string that many words together." * Threnody shakes his head. "ATC stopping Ian and Leo... that was the Concordat, not Anders." (Let the conspiracy theories continue!) * Katherine rubs her head, but not with the laser cutter. Ouch. "It's not the Concordat. It's all the fate shit. If he's right, then we can't avoid it. If he's wrong, but the Concordat are still assholes, we should be there anyway." She chudkles. "Funny word, should." Would you really buy that the Concordat are innocent in all this? * Threnody shakes his head. "No. I don't think any party involved is 'innocent'... but history shows it's so difficult to tell who is right and who is deceiving, generally until one kills the other." He pauses and walks on for a moment, then asks, quietly, "Why do you hate her so much?" * Katherine snarls. "Why not? She's a bitch, she loves killing people, she... where's the good shit, huh? Where's the part I'm supposed to fucking like?" (She is a good provider!) (TOTALLY SHUT UP OR I'LL TURN THIS BRAIN AROUND RIGHT NOW.) * Threnody helpfully suggests, "She loves killing people." * Katherine glares off into the distance. If she had eyebeams, the Holiday Inn would probably need some repairs. (Oh, fuck.) (My followup quote? Is dependent on something in the deleted mini.) (Ha! Good catch.) (Whoo boy. ._.) (Good thing I thought it over first.) * Threnody blinks, but only somewhat in confusion. "Are you angry because you don't think you have that in common?" * Katherine stops walking and turns back to glare at Thren. Now he can actually see the eyebeam-level anger in her eyes, and her teeth are gritted, and she barely manages to say, as opposed to yell, "It is not the same." (I didn't need to see it.) (Well, obviously, telepath boy.) (But now you can!) * Threnody also stops, but doesn't actually look worried. More curious, than anything else. "I believe you, but... you seem to enjoy it, too." * Katherine steps towards Thren. "How many people have I killed that you've seen, huh? None? Good. Stuff it." She turns back around, but doesn't start walking immediately, taking deep breaths instead. * Threnody doesn't start up again, either. "...so why are you *really* angry?" * Katherine says loudly, "Because you won't stop fucking asking me questions! Can't you tell I don't fucking wanna talk about the bitch?" <> (How? We're not moving? @_@) (Someone coming out.) (Of course.) * Threnody breathes out. "I don't really think that's it, either, but I suppose I won't press the point." <> * Katherine takes breaths for a few seconds, and then says with a surprisingly level voice, "Good decision." (They make such a cute couple.) (And just think. This is only... what, their fifth date? Well, not much of a date.) (Hardware stores are only dates to Magellen.) * Threnody sighs and looks at the ground. "I've never met her. I'd like to. I'd like to meet all of them." (HAAAAAAHAHAHAHAH) * Katherine starts walking, and says, "Well, they're all alive as far as I know. You're the one on a trip, they're public figures. Can't be that hard." * Threnody follows along slowly, hands folded in front of him and cradling the bokken. "I wish I had some sort of tonic for this irrational hate you have." <> * Katherine smirks. "Well, good luck on finding some of that shit, Thren. You can sell it to everyone and make one fuck of a profit." She rubs a finger on her temple. "It's been real. See ya tomorrow." * Threnody sighs, looking mightily disappointed, but nodding anyway. "Good night, Katherine." << Minifile 8.3 Secret Split complete! >>
