<> <> <> (... Why did Vera _sleep_ bloody? >_>) (Because she was very tired.) <> ( I didn't sleep. I stayed up watching old mobster movies all night. ) * Katherine is clean. Why is she clean? Because she took a shower last night, like a sane person. Also, her bed does not agree with blood. * Vera would have taken a shower last night, but Roch grabbed it first. * Katherine is currently wearing a black slightly-discolored sports bra, black shorts, and is making absolutely sure that all the blood is getting cleaned up. Because her apartment doesn't agree with blood either. (also you know what's coming.) (Well, I can guess.) <> * Vera leans on the wall near the shower and waits. She's wearing her hat! * Katherine stands up, and brushes some stray strands of hair out of her eyes. "Who is it?" "Detective Veers and Detective Piett, RNYCPD. May we come in?" ( I guess not! ) * Katherine glances over at Vera, sighs, than says, "Uh, sure, I guess. Buzz 'em in." She tosses whatever strange thing she was using to clean in a trash can. "Dammit, Vera. This is gonna suck." (Did Vera launder her shirt, too?) ( Probably not. ) (Okay, how bloody can she be if all her clothes are clean, and we have soft towels? I should tell her to hide in the bathroom. >_>) (In fact.) (Her clothes AREN'T clean.) * Katherine says with a slight smirk, "You should hide in the bathroom or something." * Vera shrugs. "Why bother?" 'Sides, door's locked. (I'm gonna give you one more shot at not wearing bloody clothes when the police open the door. <_<) ( Uh... Ok. ) ( In that case, I'll wash the blood off with the sink :P ) * Katherine walks back to the back of the room. "Yeah, yeah, right." She pulls out a black shirt, and handful of others. "You wanna get dressed in something that isn't so last night?" You have anything that fits my style? * Katherine chuckles. "What, male?" She digs, and tosses out a big white button down, obviously a bit big for Kat, and a pair of faded black slacks. "There. You should totally not worry about style at a time like this, though." <> * Vera grabs 'em and goes into the bathroom (which turns out not to be locked!) to change. <> * Katherine sighs, puts on her own shirt, musses up her hair slightly, and walks over to the door, opening it. * Vera comes out in a minute, wearing the clothes. And her hat. (Uh. Give them a second to come in, first. ^_^;) ( NO! >.< ) (*knock knock* You sure you're showering in there? You want me to check?) <> "Morning, ma'am. We'd like a word with you, if you've got the time." <> "We're pretty sure you've got the time." * Katherine smirks. "I've always got the time." She taps her head. "What'cha want?" <> "It's about last night's disturbance. May we come in?" * Katherine shrugs. "Well, if you have to. C'mon in, have a seat." She gestures towards the table. * Vera keeps her place at the wall. "Thank you." <> "So... where were you last night, then?" * Katherine guides them towards the table, and says with a grin. "Out on the town, of course." <> "Wouldn't happen to have been on the Plaza for that nastiness, would you?" <> * Katherine nods, and guides Piett, because he's nice. "Yeah, that was real nasty. Me n'my flatmate and a few friends were out, and then all of a sudden, the place was lights out. Damn creepy." <> "Didn't happen to notice anything strange before the lights went out?" Aside from the large collection of gun-wielders? <> "Yeah, them." <> "So what did you do when the lights went out?" Got out of there. * Katherine nods along extremely absently as Vera speaks. <> "No gawking, no hiding, just ... voomp, out?" Yeah, pretty much. One of our friends tried to hide, but we went back and got her. <> "And then you just came right back here?" Would you be here if you thought that? <> "Of course not. So what were you two doing out alone?" Trying to make some money. <> "In the dark? Well.... Yeah. * Katherine says helpfully, with a small smile, "I can see a little in the dark, so she asked me to help her. 'Cause she's a bounty hunter, and stuff. Me, I just wanted to get drunk, but nooo..." <> "And you came up dry, huh?" <> Hey, they weren't worth much to begin with. By the time we found them, they were dead. That's worth next to zilch. <> "Sure you didn't tag a few in the dark and then realize they weren't bounties later?" * Katherine yawns, and stands up. "Anyone want anything to drink, while you ask us about the dead people?" Hey man, they came at us first. <> "I think we all need to take a trip to the station instead, Ms. Parker," <> "If you'd be so kind," <> * Katherine opens the fridge, and pulls out a bottle. Then pouts. "Oh, c'mon. The station?" What for? "The dead person with a Cougar .45 slugs in him. That is the gun you carry, yes, Ms. Aliyeva?" <> (and before you ask, it's required to put it down when you get your bounty hunter's license.) Yeah. So? I thought I made it clear that it was self-defense. "So that's enough to pull you in for questioning, along with the footage we have of you two on cameras near the Plaza after the blackout." <> <> "Plus, it's amazing how he was so dangerous with his back to you." "Now let's go. We can do this the easy way, or we can tranq and cuff you." * Katherine pours herself the drink _anyway_, while they pick apart Vera. Police use tranqs now? <> "If you look like you're gonna be a problem, sure." <> "Let "Let's go." Let's see some ID first. <> "Satisfied?" <> "You too." * Katherine shrugs. "If you have to, I guess. I don't make very good conversation, though." * Katherine sighs, and takes a drink. Then walks over to the bathroom door, knocks on it loudly, and says sullenly, "Roch, Vera n'I are getting dragged off by police. Don't wait up or buzz in any complete strangers." <> * Katherine is herded. "And I so wanted to get some work done, too." * Vera follows. "Dang, I don't even get to shower first." <>
