<Brett> [Lukas, Ashley, Herman, Ten, Mitsuji and Xuan are all gathered a block 
from the building that houses Darcy O'Riley's vault.  It's a gothic-looking 
building, with dark stone, pointy edges and gargoyles.  The whole thing is 
surrounded by a black iron bar fence.  The building is on its own block in the 
city.]
<Brett> [Session Start]
* Ashley has, for perhaps aesthetic reasons, re-clad himself in a black 
longcoat, a black turtleneck, black slacks, black shoes, and black round 
sunglasses. He's looking around, but not saying much.
* Lukas is standing next to his bike in standard leathers. He's running his hand 
back over his head, a faint grin on his face.
* Herman is looking like he always does, with the leather and jeans and pipe and 
spiked hair. He looks a bit impatient and a bit worried.
* Ten is has switched to something that might pass for camouflage... in world 
that was deep red and black, and lacy and, well, no. She's also standing on the 
handlebars of Lukas's bike.
* Lukas chuckles to himself. "I've pulled some stupid gigs, but this is 
definitely one of the most stupid ones."
<Ten> But, like, we've never ever ever ever done a job on a vampire before! 
Maybe they've all got security like this!
* Lukas rolls his eyes.
<Brett> [Mitsuji is wearing a black t-shirt under a dark-red jacket, and gray 
pants.  He's got goggles across his forehead. He's carrying his laptop with one 
arm.  Xuan is wearing a black hakama and white gi, standing near Mitsuji and 
looking at the building intently.] 
<Brett> [Mitsuji turns his gaze to Lukas. "You're the expert.  Where do we 
start?"]
* Ashley leans up against the fence.
<Brett> [Ashley is not electrocuted!]
* Lukas finally says, "We're going top-down. It's the straightest path."
<Brett> [Mitsuji nods.]
* Ten grins. "They so never expect people from above!"
<Herman> Just don't announce it, Ten.
<Ten> Kay!
* Lukas smirks for a moment, then gestures outward. "Code 2, Code 1, Vault. If 
the vault resets in that time, we try the backup. Ashley can mask us the whole 
way, and then Herman gets us the hell out. If we're lucky, we'll barely have a 
fight."
<Brett> [Mitsuji: "And if we do?"]
<Ashley> Then we fight.
<Brett> [Xuan beams. "I fight!"]
<Ten> Uh~huh!
* Lukas says darkly, "We try not to get killed by the overwhelming forces. If we 
get found, you'd better be fucking fantastic in combat."
<Brett> [Mitsuji nods. "Right.  Don't get caught."]
<Brett> ["Well," he gestures. "Lead on."]
<JesseLman> ( * Mitsuji pulls out Excalibur. "Will this do?" "..." )
* Lukas runs his hand thruogh his hair and begins going for the building.
<Brett> [Mitsuji follows! And Xuan follows him.]
* Ashley follows. He waves his hands and the group fades from view.
* Lukas leads up to... near a side of a building! Yes!
* Herman brings up the rear. Or the middle. But he is so not in front.
* Lukas pulls a long length of rope out of his backpack and smirks at Mitsuji. 
"Well, since Ten's been slacking, would you like to tie a lead rope up there?"
<JesseLman> ( Bah. You need to play more meatshield chars, Ard. =P )
* Ten pouts.
<Brett> [He nods, takes the rope, and flies upwards.  A minute later the rope 
drops from above.]
<Brett> ( Gimme climbing rolls, -2 bonus )
* Lukas runs his hand over his hair again during the wait, then, "Alright. Up we 
go."
<Brett> [Xuan takes the rope and starts climbing with ease, like she's done this 
before.]
<Lukas> (Fooey. Wish BnE had anything on this.)

<Brett> [Lukas starts climbing, but gets only a few feet off the ground before 
he loses his grip.

<Brett> [Unlike Ashley, who scurries up the rope like a crazy squirrel.]
* Lukas watches Ashley go and rubs his hands together, muttering, "Come on, 
hands, don't be bitches." Then he gives it another shot.

<Brett> [Lukas fails to reclimb the rope.]
* Herman shakes his head and gives it a try as Lukas is stranded on the ground.

<Brett> [Fortunately for Lukas, Herman doesn't have much more luck.
* Herman tries again! He's such a rope hog.
<Brett> [Mitsuji leans over the side and motions for you to hurry.]

* Lukas glances to Herman's trying and says, "My turn."
* Herman lets him. Stupid rope.
* Ten lets go of the rope. "Kay, but I'm so next."

* Lukas bites his lip. "This isn't funny. Herman?"
<Herman> Don't look at me, man.  I haven't had to climb a rope since grade 
school, and we got knots in it.
* Herman tries again.

* Lukas gets to the top and mutters, "Finally," then pulls the rope up after 
them.
<Brett> [You're on the roof! It's got vents and pipes and stuff, and a door that 
leads in the Southeast corner.  Gimme perception rolls.]

<Brett> [Xuan tugs Lukas's sleeve.]
* Ashley sighs. "Tell you what, Lukas, Herman. If I save your bacon four more 
times this mission, one of you has to fuck me. I'm really not getting enough 
tail out of this gig."
<Herman> I'll think about it.
* Lukas glances, saying in an annoyed voice, "Yeah?" Then he just sorta stares 
at Ashley.
* Ashley shrugs, his eyes inscrutable behind the sunglasses.
<Ashley> I'm just sayin', you know?
* Ten moves around Lukas's shoulders untill she's behind his head.
<Brett> [She points off the side of the building, down towards the next block of 
the city.]
<Lukas> 2d8-1

* Lukas looks down there and mutters. "Great." A pause, then, "Shit, we don't 
have time for this."
<Lukas> There's nothing in that thing. Let's hope it's not another team.

* Ashley follows along.
<Brett> [Mitsuji blinks.  He follows, turning his head to ask Xuan something in 
Japanese.  To which she responds something.  In Japanese.]
* Herman glances at wherever Lukas was looking, then follows along.
<Brett> [You get to the door.  There is a camera, as Ashley said.  But it's 
probably masked, as he also said.  However, the door's locked.]
<Lukas> (Electrical or physical?)
<Brett> ( Physical )
* Lukas pulls his picks free and plies them to it quickly.

* Lukas opens the door and walks in. Oddly point, but hey, he knows where 
they're going.

<Brett> [The door leads to an iron spiral staircase that apparently goes all the 
way down to the first floor (but not the basement).]
* Lukas says quickly, "Keep masking, Ashley. Cameras on all the doorways. 
Check?"
<Ashley> One moment.
<Ashley> Done.
* Lukas moves. Second floor!
<Brett> [You get to the door to the second floor! Hearing checks, +2!]
* Ten is still riding along on Lukas and down they go!

* Herman stops and holds his breath for a moment, turning his attention to the 
door.
* Lukas holds his hand up and presses to the, uh, wall?
<Brett> [Lukas hears nothing.]
<Lukas> (I know. Doesn't mean we don't have to wait...)
* Herman waits a moment longer, then says quietly, "They were talking about Lix 
and Tetrax."
* Lukas replies, "'tastic," and then waits a moment longer before going through 
the door.
* Ashley follows.
<Brett> [And through you go! The door opens up into the corner of a hallway, 
with a path going straight and one going right.  The right one is the one that 
leads towards the computer.]
* Herman glances down the way he figures the voices went.
<Brett> [Off in the distance, Herman sees two non-descript guys heading away.]
* Lukas starts off to the right.
* Herman heads after Lukas. It's not towards the non-descript guys! All is well. 
So far.
<Brett> [The corridor ends in a single room, which should be the computer room, 
according to the blueprints.  But before that there's a T-section of the 
hallway.  Gimme hearing checks.]
<Herman> 2d8

hands.]
* Ashley is already against the wall.
* Herman flattens, too! And tries really hard not to breathe too loud.
* Ten moves from behind Lukas's head to stand on his shoulder, she also spreads 
her wings out as far as she can to press against the wall.
<Brett> [Two vampires come around the corner, talking about whatever it is 
vampires talk about.  They pass right by you, however.]
<Jex> (... Xuan has a naginata.)
<Ten> (D'uh.)
* Lukas waits for them to get a distance by and then resumes moving. Sneaky like 
6'2" ninja.
<Ten> (What's MC without the power of the naginata?)
* Herman sighs. Quietly. After they leave.
<Brett> [You reach the first computer room!]
* Ten grins.
* Lukas , uh, goes in, barring a massive required hearing check or something! 
Yay!
* Lukas also hisses, "Bot. Spoof it."
<Lukas> (Take back.)
* Lukas also hisses, "Bot and camera. Spoof 'em."
<Ashley> Done.
* Ten points dramatically at the door!
* Lukas does the going in thing, yes.
* Ashley in goes thing doing what?
* Robin has quit IRC (Quit: WHEE! XD )
<Brett> [You head inside! Inside is a square-shaped room with a computer at one 
end.  And a camera that doesn't seem to pick you up.  There's also a simple 
security bot: It's got four legs and walks like a spider, with large machine gun 
mounted on it's back.  A small "head" on the front of it whips towards you as 
you enter. "Heat signatures detected.  Present identification."]

* Lukas grits his teeth and keeps walking towards it.
* Ashley gestures with his hand. "Used to be, you were happy with gold and wine. 
Now you've got that bloody little thing."
<Brett> [Xuan lifts her naginata warily.]
* Herman grips his pipe, but he doesn't attack the thing. That could be a bad 
prize.
<Brett> [The bot does nothing.]
<Brett> [Mitsuji glances at Lukas. "You got it?"]
* Lukas points at the computer, as if he expected that. "Mitsuji?"
<Ashley> Can we get on with this?
* Lukas reaches up to tap Ten on the head. "Own personal bot disabler. Go for 
it, M."
<Brett> [Mitsuji assumes that's a yes, and makes his way over to the computer.  
A brief few seconds are spent hacking it, and he nods. "Got it."]
* Ten grins and then drops a curtsy.
* Lukas nods and says, "Back out we go. A third done."
* Herman nods.
* Ashley walks out. "If I teach you how to do the illusion thing, can I stay in 
the hotel next time? This walking's bad for the calves." He doesn't sound as 
chipper as his jibe might indicate.
<Lukas> (Technically, you guys have to leave before I do, conceptually. Stupid 
'doors'.)
<Ten> But, like, that's an Ashley thing. I mean if I could do everything you can 
do... wouldn't that make me you? And then I'd have to complain about getting 
dragged around and that doesn't look like fun.
<Brett> [Mitsuji heads out. "You should teach Dante.  He seemed to enjoy it."  
Xuan follows him.]
* Lukas looks at the bot for a moment or two, then shakes his head and goes out.
<Ashley> It's bloody fantastic, Ten. You'd get to meet the family. I mean, more 
than you already have.
<Ten> But I've already got one!
* Herman follows Lukas, because as previously stated, he knows where he's going! 
"C'mon."
<Brett> [About halfway to the stairs, the alarm sounds.  You don't even need a 
hearing check to hear it.]
<Herman> Oh Christ.  That wasn't us, was it?
<Lukas> Doubt it. Fuckers in the van, probably.
<Brett> [Mitsuji and Xuan halt and glance at each other, then at Lukas. He nods. 
"Probably."]
<Ashley> Keep walking. We're still masked.
* Lukas keeps moving to the stairway.
<Brett> [Two other vampires come around the corner, running towards the 
stairway, too.  Gimme init rolls!]
<Lukas> (... to dodge them?)
<Brett> ( They practically run into you. )

<Ten> Maybe they're all gonna go to the front door and fight the other group!
* Lukas moves. "Fucking pray."
* Herman does, too. VROOM.
* Ashley follows.
<Brett> [You get to the first floor, where you're greeted by the distant sound 
of gunshots.]
<Ten> See? See?
* Lukas just heads straight for the second room, eyes flicking around with 
increased waryness. "C'mon..."
<Brett> [Mitsuji nods, and follows with Xuan.  More vampires rush past you on 
your way, but they don't seem to notice you, and you get to the room without 
much incident.]
* Lukas rolls his eyes. "Same camera and bot. Let's do it?"
<Herman> If nobody said before, Ashley, your illusions are bloody amazing.
* Ten nods.
<Ashley> I think we've hit my quota, haven't we?
<Herman> Keep trying.
<Ashley> I can't hide our heat. I'll merely get the camera.
* Ashley does so!
<Lukas> Do the bot too. Less work for us.
* Ashley shrugs and keeps going.
* Lukas heads in! Woo!

* Lukas nods at Mitsuji and turns back doorward while saying, "Be ready. Vault's 
probably gonna suck."
<Brett> [He nods. "Probably."]
<Herman> 'S our luck, yeah.
* Lukas moves for the heading out and down! "Not luck. Werewolves. Or 
something."
<Ten> Demons and robots and vampires oh my!
<Ashley> If our luck involved werewolves it would explain some things.
<Brett> [Mitsuji and Xuan follow. "Wrong time of month for werewolves."]
<Ashley> That doesn't sound like our luck at all.
* Lukas goes. "Re-cover 'em, Ashley. And no, it doesn't."
<Brett> [You head down the hall, where you hear more gunshots.  And a gout of 
flame flies out of a corridor, followed seconds later by a screaming burning 
body.  It runs wildly, but drifts towards Lukas.  Gimme unarmed def]
<Lukas> (... not ranged. Fantastic.)
<Lukas> 2d8
* Dicesuke throws the bones for Lukas (2d8) and gets a natural 14 for a result

<Brett> ( Nope, screaming burning bodies are generally not ranged. )
<Brett> ( Though they can be. )
<Brett> [Either way, he bumps right into Lukas and sets him on FIRE!]
<Herman> (Body chuck!)
<Ked> ( Only if they're flying screaming burning bodies. )
* Lukas curses. "Fuck! Hate fire!"
<Brett> [The body bounces off of Lukas and against the wall. Then it falls over 
and stops screaming.]
* Ten abandons Lukas! And if anybody pays attention to her instead of the 
burning guy, she doesn't fall to the ground nearly as fast as she should, and 
lands on her feet.
* Lukas pats himself down to try to un-fire himself as he bites down on his 
cursing hard.
<Brett> [Xuan rushes at Lukas.  Gimme a body roll.]
<Lukas> 2d8

* Ten flails her arms onces she's on the ground. "Put him out! Put him out!"
<Brett> [Xuan knocks Lukas to the ground and more or less smothers him.  But it 
gets the fire out.]
* Herman reaches back into his backpack... then stops when he sees Xuan has 
Lukas in a hug.
* Ashley rubs his cheek.
* Lukas pants from his position on the ground, lip bleeding from him biting down 
on it, and looks up at Xuan. "Ow, fuck..."
<Brett> [Xuan smiles. "Is okay!" She sits up.]
* Ten cheers at Xuan. "Yay! Lukas isn't all burny any more!"
* Lukas pushes himself upright and closes his eyes for a moment, then says, 
"S... s'nothing. Move. We've got to move." His eyes flick to the dead guy for a 
moment, then he looks away.
<Brett> [A man comes around the corner.  He looks to be in his early fourties, 
tall and well built.  He's got blond hair, a blond mustache and beard, and blue 
eyes.  He's carrying a flame thrower.  His clothes consist of white slacks and a 
dark blue shirt, and a white jacket with a gold cross on each shoulder.  Under 
the cross are the letters H.E.S.O.]
<Lukas> (... HESO!)
* Herman walks over and reaches down to help Lukas up. "You o-" He stops when 
some guy runs over and looks that way.
<JesseLman> ( Cross is always a good sign! Unless you're Jewish. Or an altar 
boy. )
* Ten stops cheering and tries to look mundane.
<Brett> [He looks left and right, then back the way he came, nodding.  He starts 
toward you, with another man following him behind.  This one's dressed 
similarly, but is about 10 years younger, and carrying a shotgun.]
* Lukas tries to move himself wallward in a less than dignified manner.
<Brett> [Xuan and Mitsuji hurriedly do, too.]
<Lukas> (My general assumption is that we're still invisible, even if we're not! 
Safe until prove dead.)
<Ashley> (That's kind of my assumption, too.)
<Brett> [They walk past! Though the younger man stops suddenly.  He turns 
towards Ashley and squints.]
* Ashley holds very, very still.
* Lukas is still sorta panting against the wall. Because ow.
<Brett> [He slowly reaches out a hand towards Ashley.  Fortunately for him, the 
older man calls back to the younger in French, and the younger shrugs off his 
suspicion and follows him.  They head towards the computer room.]
<Brett> [There's more gunshots, and not from those two.]
* Ashley lets out a sigh. "Too long. Let's move before he comes back."
* Lukas takes another deep breath. "God, please."
<Herman> Yeah.
* Ten nods.
* Ten also scuttles over to Lukas and climes him again.
<Brett> [Mitsuji nods, and he and Xuan follow Lukas.]
* Lukas moves, a bit slower. Because ow. Towards the VAULT.
* Ashley follows, masking lenses as he goes.
<Brett> [You get to the stairs down shortly!  They're different from the other 
stairs you've been using; they only go down.]
<JesseLman> ( Didn't Togo give them the "HESO are the good guys, aside from 
being French" speech back at the beginning? )
<Herman> (Does this mean we want to jump out and say hi and then be delayed for 
questioning?)
<Lukas> (Fuck no.)
<Herman> (Damn straight.)
<Ashley> (I think it means ballkicking. Lots of it. Let's get busy.)
<Lukas> (The words are 'Operational Security.')
<Lukas> (HESO can fuck 'emselves.)
<Brett> ( Actually I was thinking OMG INVISIBLE VAMPIRES SHOOT FIRST ASK 
QUESTIONS LATER!, but hey. )
<Ten> (We were never here!)
<Herman> (Brett: Really!  Fifty/fifty chance we'll be shot on the spot!)
<JesseLman> ( Point taken. By both Brett AND you guys. =P )
<Lukas> (Yeah, I was worried about that too. Anyway.)
* Lukas goes down the stairs, assuming blah blah not giant known death trap.
<Brett> [Down the stairs is a large room with a large vault door. It's a big, 
circular thing with two consoles beside it.  It's oddly humid down here.]
* Herman wrinkles his nose. "The hell? It's a *basement*."
<Lukas> (Anything in here?)
<Brett> ( A few benches and things. And an empty desk )
* Lukas shakes his head. "Can't fucking care. Mitsuji? Give me the first floor 
code." He walks towards once of the consoles.
<Brett> [Mitsuji nods and does.  He heads towards the other console.]
<Ten> Tol'ja! They all ran to the front to fight!
* Lukas looks over at him. "Ready?"
<Brett> [A female voice echoes around the room.  "Not all of them."  The

about average height, maybe a little short.  Her clothes are a dusty brown 
leather jacket, baggy cargo pants and a red shirt.  She grins. "Hi!"]
* Ashley rubs his head. "That's rather more our speed, yes."
<Herman> ... Yup.
* Ten tentatively waves at her. "Like, hi!"
* Herman waves.
<Brett> [She waves back. "My name's Victoria!" Then she draws two pistols from 
her jacket. "Let's fight!"]
* Lukas just says, "Punch it," at Mitsuji.
<Ashley> (Not tonight, one hopes.)
<Brett> [Mitsuji nods and does so.  Meanwhile, Victoria levels her guns at you. 
"Ready? Go!"  Roll init!]

behind us an stuff an we were here first so it'd totaly not be fair if they got 
it 'cause you were fighting us.

<Lukas> (Uh, did we get the codes in?)
<Brett> ( Not yet. Door's still closed. )
* Lukas continues to enter his code, then!
<Brett> [And so he does! One half of the code is entered.]
<Brett> [Meanwhile, Xuan lifts her naginata and rushes at Victoria.  She whirls 
it overhead and brings it down in a vertical cut, the blade trailing a white 
light behind it. "Xuan Blade!"  Yet for all that, Victoria hops away from the 
blade, landing ON the wall.]
* Herman shifts, turning his head to keep looking at Xuan. He doesn't stop the 
chanting.
<Ciara> (<Chie> ...not one word, Eoi-sensei.  Not *one*.)
<Ten> Hey! Changing gravity is cheating!
<Brett> [Mitsuji enters his half of the code.  The vault doors open slowly, 
revealing a large square room on the other side.  Against the walls of the room 
are two shelves full of jewels, gold, bags of money and the like.  And in the 
center of the room is a pedestal.  Sitting on it, covered in a glass casing, is 
the Rosetta stone.  No sign of the Blood Orb, though.]
<Brett> [Oh, and there's another one of those small bots.  "Heat signature 
detected.  Engaging."  This one doesn't even wait for ID.]
<Brett> ( Bot goes after Mitsuji, but not this turn. )
<Brett> [Ten!]

* Herman looks... displeased. He levels the pipe at Victoria and shouts out the 
last few words, the guttural sounds echoing around the room as a bright white 
bolt of lightning cackles from his hand, through the pipe, and for Victoria.

<Brett> [Herman blasts Victoria! She shudders as the electricity goes through

* Lukas bleeds uncertainly.

out of whatever grabbed her.]

* Ten hops off of Lukas and onto the security bot, which she then rides out into 
fray and then orders it to open fire on Victoria. "Designate target: Cheater!"

form around his hand. Maybe this is the only spell he knows!

landing behind her.]
<Ashley> (* Lukas says, "Fuck, is this it?" He grabs it.)
<Brett> [Mitsuji probably tries to do something, but whatever it is, it doesn't 
work.  He calls over his shoulder, "Grab the items and let's get out of here!"]
<Brett> [Ten's turn!]
* Ten grins. "Take this! And this! And this!" She also has the bot open fire 
again.

dodges most of the bullets, but one clips her leg.]

<Brett> ( You can't get the stone. )
<Ten> (It only weighs half a ton!)

<Brett> ( I'm not going to say why. You'll just have to wonder why on earth you

* Ashley grabs the nearest heavy, solid object, and smacks it against the glass.
<Brett> [Ashley breaks the glass with a clay model of Jay Leno's chin.]

<Brett> ( I mean, yes. )
* Ashley grabs the stone, and runs like mad.
<Ten> (Gate? Herman? Plan?)
<Ashley> (Towards the gate!)
<Ten> (We don't have one yet!)
<Brett> [Ashley grabs the stone, setting off the event trigger that causes a 
familiar girl in half a tuxedo to come down the stairs, a light breeze picking 
up around the room as she does.]
<Ashley> (Then this is an exceedingly slow plan!)
* Herman doesn't look her way! Too busy trying to blow up Victoria!
<Lukas> (Wow. She's a teleporter. Hooray.)
<Ten> Ack! Like, time to go!
<Brett> [Her eyes go wide.  Victoria looks back over her shoulder as she fires 
again. "Hey Lix!"  She's aiming for Herman this time... twice!] 
* Lukas clutches the orb tighter. "Fucksake, I am not built for this."

Destroy them!"  She thrusts a palm at Mitsuji, who flies back through the air 
and collides with a wall.]
<Ten> They've gotta be boss types or something! We need more people! 
<Brett> [Lukas!]
<Herman> Got it- fuck!
<Ashley> Plan, such as it is, rapidly derailing.
<Brett> [Victoria grins. "It's no fun if I go all out.  I'm liking this more."]
<Lukas> (Question: Is Herman looking towards or away from the vault?)
<Herman> (Towards, since Victoria appeared in front of it, and he's facing her.)
<Brett> ( Still Lukas' turn )
* Lukas says, "Shut the fuck up!" and reaches into his pocket, before flinging 
his hand out, a ball of light flying from it towards between Lix and Victoria...

<Brett> [Meanwhile, Mitsuji gets up and takes the opportunity to return the 
favor to Lix, knocking her down the hall.  But the girl is quick on her feet, 
sommersaulting in mid air and landing in a crouch. "Victoria, stop stalling and 
use your powers! You can wipe them out in an instant!"]
<Brett> [Ten!]
<Ten> Wiping us out wouldn't be fun at all! Then we couldn't do anything 
anymore!

<Brett> [Victoria chooses her next targets: Herman and Xuan, while nodding to 
Ten. "Yeah, where's the fun in that?  Honestly, Lix, you're a real downer."]
<Brett> [Xuan doesn't even see the shot coming ('cause she's blind, dur), and 
takes a bullet in her stomach.]
<Herman> 2d8

<Brett> [She's not looking too good.  Neither is Herman, who's shot in the leg.]

<Ten> Like, we need a new plan! Now!
* Herman pushes himself up, though, and starts to hobble (quickly!) for the 
vault door. Concealed by the eleventy billion Ashleys and Lukases, he even 
starts etching runes and whispering in an old language.
* Lukas collides with a wall too. Ow. He clutches that orb, though. "There's--" 
he coughs, "--only one plan, Ten..."
<Brett> [Lukas!]
<Ashley> The new plan IS... Jazzercise. Move, Lukas, move, and the copies will 
follow!
<Lukas> (Okay. Are Lix and Victoria 'intermingled' with us?)
<Brett> ( Oigh. Ok, You, Ten, Ashley are in the vault. Herman, Victoria, Xuan 
and Mitsuji are not. )
<Brett> ( And Lix is in the entrance passageway. )
<Lukas> (Herman just ran into the vault.)
<Brett> ( Then he's there too. Whatever <.< )
* Lukas closes his eyes. "Fuck it. Just fuck it." He closes his eyes and a 
massive field of electricity crackles into place. Surrounding the people in the 
vault (and anyone who's not evil on the outside he can get.)
* Lukas sounds awfully pained. Unsurprisingly.
<Brett> [Xuan crawls to her feet and begins to adopt a defensive posture, until 
Mitsuji grabs her hand and leads her back into the vault.]
<Brett> [Ten! The bot is sparking but still operational.]
* Ten has it stand up and walk to the edge of the field. "Undesignate: Cheater! 
Designate target: Annoying! Fire!"
<Ten> 2d8
* Dicesuke throws the bones for Ten (2d8) and gets a natural 5 for a result of

<Brett> [The bot fires! But despite Lix's apparent blindness and Ten's good aim, 
the wind picks up and causes the bullets to miss.]
<Brett> [Ashley!]
* Ten jumps up and down. "Not fair! Not fair! Not fair!"
<Herman> (Ten's awesome.)
<Lukas> (And is made more awesome by my proximity to her.)
<Ten> (XD)
* Ashley does his best to move in a distracting pattern which looks distinctly 
like Russian ballet. Or just ballet, if you're not exactly schooled in the art.
<Brett> [Victoria rubs her head as she gets up. "Ow! I can't believe you 
attacked me, Lix! And when did you get so... powerful?" Suddenly she grins 
widely, and opens fire on the other demon.  She misses, but perhaps 
intentionally.]
* Ten chears at Victoria. "Like yeah!"
<Brett> [Lix glances wide-eyed at Victoria. "What do you think you're doing?" 
She howls as she thrusts both palms at the vault.  A fierce wind picks up and 
begins pushing the electircal barrier appart. "Have you gone mad, Taltosh?! Our 
enemies are over there!  My father will hear about this!"]
<Brett> [Herman!]
* Lukas grits his teeth against the effort of holding the shield up. "Gods... 
please..."
* Herman keeps with the whispering and continues tracing runes on the door. 
Slowly, they begin to take light.
<Ten> Like, how come your dad hears about everything? Does he have spies 
everywhere or something awesome like that?
<Ten> (Ten's having fun with the demons now that they aren't blowing her up.)
<Brett> [Mitsuji drags Xuan behind one of the outer walls of the vault, as 
Victoria and Lix continue to fight.  Lix tries to push her way through the force 
field, but Victoria's attacks keep breaking her concentration.]
<Brett> [Victoria snorts. "I do what I want.  And you always hide behind your 
father.  Well, let me tell you something, my daddy can beat up your daddy."]
* Ten has the bot join in the Lix bashing, because it's fun. "Ooooh!"
<Brett> [Herman eventually gets the portal open!]
* Lukas just tries to hold it up the whole time, against the wall...
<Brett> [Victoria presses the attack.  A wall of water appears in front of her, 
and bends inward suddenly as though it were hit by an unseen force (AKA a gust 
of wind!). "So what if they take the rock? I don't care about your stupid plan 
anyway.  And I'm glad I don't have to help the vampires anymore.  Undead smell 
funny."]
* Herman finishes and pulls his hand away. The runes flash from deep green to 
white, and he shoves the door open, glowing passageway ready for them. "Move!"
* Ten walks the bot through the field to annoy Lix up close and personal. "Go 
forth my pet! And totally wreck havok on plans!"
<Brett> [Mitsuji wastes no time, leading Xuan through the portal.]
* Ashley grabs Lukas, does his level best to wedge him under his other arm, and 
charges through the blasted thing.
<Brett> [The bot beeps. "Acknowledged."  But before it gets halfway there, it's 
picked up and tossed against the wall, where it shatters.]
* Lukas's field drops as he is pulled. He yells, weakly, "Ten..."
* Ten shakes her undamaged fist at Lix. "Hey! That was so my third favoritest 
security bot ever!"
<Ten> Whups! Gotta go! Bye Victoria!
* Ten skittes for the portal!
* Herman enters last, slamming the door behind them.
<Brett> [You escape to Herman's apartment, where the session abruptly ends!]
