[Day: Whatever day it was. Time: Not long after the last session ended.] [You're still in the Dancing Fiend! Togo and Herman finished their talk with Magnolia, who came back, introduced herself to Lukas, and asked to speak with him privately. She lead him to a small both where they can talk undisturbed.] [Session Start] [Magnolia slides into the booth and waits for Lukas to sit down.] * Lukas follows, how having retaken posession of Ten. He actually left his glass behind. "Quite a bit of secrecy. Usually I think that's a good thing." [Magonlia gets right to the point. "I'm sure you'll understand my caution in a minute. I've already spoken with your companions about this matter: I want you to go to Ireland and defeat Darcy O'Riley, and retrieve the Blood Orb and the Rosetta stone from her vault. They suggested I share what little technical knowledge I have about the systems of the vault with you."] * Lukas mms. "Well, I'm ears." ["The building the vault is in has a gothic appearance, though it's fully modernized. The vault is locked by a code, but the code is fragmented, and two parts are stored at two different ends of the building."] * Lukas mms. "How strong is this code?" ["It changes every four hours. Darcy is very careful with her vault."] ["In addition, there's vampiric guards throught the building, and high-end security bots guarding the computers. There may or may not be some demons, as well."] ~ I wanna know she using to generate the codes! ~ * Lukas rolls his eyes. "That's not what I asked. What happens on a failure? How long is it?" ["I can give you the site where you can hack in and download the blueprints, if you're as good as they say, but the computers with the code are a closed system."] ["A failure to give the proper code at the vaults will sound the alarms, and the vault will become locked until the next time the code changes."] * Lukas mms. "How do they change and generate the codes?" ["I don't know."] ~ Aww, that's gonna make it harder! Phoey! ~ ~ Not really. By definition, the code has to get to the lock. ~ ["I would assume randomly, but I have little working knowledge about computers."] ~ All we have to do is wait for a cycle, and it comes right to us. ~ ~ That's four entire hours! How are we gonna hide everybody that long? ~ ["Any other questions?"] Yeah. What's the general security like? ["Vampires with guns, mostly. The bots protect the two computers, and there might be a third at the door. Darcy was talking about adding one when I left."] ~ Does she know when the codes update? ~ * Lukas chuckles faintly. "So, do you know about when a code updates?" [She shakes her head. "I know it's every four hours, but I don't know when specifically the cycle starts."] ~ Awwww. ~ You ever seen it? [She nods. "A few times, but that was more than a decade ago, before Darcy changed so much."] Ever seen it when it was on the 4 hour cycle? ["Ages ago. I couldn't tell you the exact hour, if that's what you're asking."] * Lukas chuckles faintly. "Of course it is. Any idea where she keeps her computers?" [She nods. "That I do know; I doubt she'd have moved the locations. But you'll be able to see for yourself if you can get the blueprints of the building."] * Lukas nods slightly and extends his hand on the table. "The site?" [She gives a website. Woo.] ~ Is that like one of those security contests they used to have where they'd bet money that people couldn't crack their security and always lost? Huh? ~ * Lukas chuckles to himself. ~ Sure. ~ [Magnolia looks at Lukas oddly.] ~ Kay! ~ * Lukas looks back to her directly. "What's the vault's actual material?" ["Steel."] ... Excellent. ~ Awesome! ~ [She tilts her head. "The door alone weighs several tons. It would take hours to cut through it with a torch."] ~ Not so awesome! ~ * Lukas shrugs. "And our timeframe for it unless we can find the exact cycle time is an average of 2 hours." Me? I like to have a backup. [She shrugs. "Suit yourself, but I wouldn't rely on getting in that way."] That's why they call them backups. ["Oh, and I'm sure I don't need to tell you that there are plenty of security cameras throughout the building, especially around the vault."] * Lukas nods with a faint smirk. "Of course." ["Anything else?"] (You got anything, RDM? There's not much here.) (I can't think of anything that she can't just say "look at the site" to.) (Yeah.) * Lukas shakes his head, short and simple. "Not that a good blueprint won't fix." [She nods and rises. "Then I wish you good luck." She offers a hand to shake.] [They shake! Session End!]
