The sun has gone down, but the estate is well lit. You're in the back, next to the pool. Melanie has just finished jumping up to the second floor and tying the net from the tennis court onto .... something... so you can get into Rachel's room through the window.] [Eric and Michel are still by the pool, but Melanie is on the window sill. And being confronted by two MiBs aiming guns at her.] [Now what?!] [Session Start] * Michel was all ready to climb up after her now that the window's broken in! And unless she jumps, that's exactly what he's doing! (do I have line of sight on the MiBs?) * Melanie freezes for just a split second before leaping into the room and dashing between the two men, so they hopefully shoot each other if they try to shoot her. She lashes out a kick at one with the foot that still has a boot on it. ( Nope, you're down below near the pool, Melanie's on the second floor. ) ( Annnnd I think it's init time :X ) (INIT TIME) 2d6+7 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Michel (2d6+7) and gets a natural 8 for a result of 15. "Freeze, or he'll shoot you again."] [Melanie!] * Melanie scowls and stays put. (Hold action.) [Michel!] (Can I get to the top of the net and roll into the room, firing?) ( You can with a successful acro roll! ) (I WILL.) * Michel climbs the net the rest of the way, and attempts to go over the edge of the window into the room in a combat roll, so he can come up with his gun and take a shot! 2d6+6 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Michel (2d6+6) and gets a natural 11 for a result of 17. (I rollin', son.) (Does the one guy look like his nose has rapidly healed or anything, or is it still bleeding?) ( Wow again ) [Michel rolls right into the room! (My character concept was to be able to succeed at most every non-combat roll!) [MiB #1 turns his gun towards Michel (and Eric) while MiB #2 keeps his trained on Melanie. "Alright, wise guys, you've had your fun. Now come with us or we fill you full of lead."] (I have mad skills!) ( Thems holding. ) [Melanie!] * Melanie sighs and stands up, still holding one boot by its laces. (Holding action, I guess.) [Michel!] * Michel stands up slowly and asks, "What'dya do with Miss LeBlanc?" ["How's about we go show ya?" he steps into the room, gesturing towards the door with his gun. His partner steps out into the hall, fixing his nose with one hand. It doesn't look broken anymore.]] (But still with his gun trained on Melanie?) (So, Melanie, how fast can you close a door? ;) ( Yah. ) (Hey, I've still got a gun on me.) (Yeah, but the guy's through the door now. You can get out of the way.) (He cut off his firing angle. Doors are awful.) (Or you can just go with him.) [He motions again. "Come on, move it people.] * Michel lowers his gun to his side and walks towards Melanie and the door. (...Okay, taking my action.) ( K ) * Melanie moves forward and, once Michel is relatively between her and the guy still in the room, she swings the steel-toed boot that she's still carrying around the doorway and at the guy in the hall. 2d8+6 * Dicesuke throws the bones for Melanie (2d8+6) and gets 8, a CRITICAL SUCCESS!!! "Fight! For everlasting love and peace!" (Dicey! Inappropriate reaction!) (Oh what the heck Dice.) (And Melanie died. It was a sad death, but thank you for your support. The end.) (My suggestion is that I grab Melanie and shoulder-charge the guy in the room to pull her out of line of fire.) [Melanie's boot gets caught on the door knob. Which is worse than it sounds since it practically sends her to the ground. MiB #2 sighs. "You just don't get it, do you?" He opens his mouth, pointing at his fangs. "Hwrh. Rwih Hwrh. Shr?" He closes his mouth. "Don't waste our time, kids."] * Melanie spits out blood and raises a hand to her jaw to make sure nothing's dislocated. (Oh, more vampires.) [Melanie finds her gums are bleeding. Luckily, her teeth are still intact.] ( Well you knew they were there >.> ) * Eric starts moving towards the door, hands up. (Right, that's why I asked earlier if his nose had stopped bleeding quickly.) * Melanie drops her boot and stands up, scowling. * Michel frowns and holstes his gun, stepping over to Melanie. "You okay?" * Melanie mutters, "Fine," and spits out a bit more blood. * Eric holsters his blaster. * Eric glares at the MiB, "Did you have to hit her quite so hard?" Shut up, doctor. * Eric shuts up. :S ["She broke my nose," says the guy whose nose is no longer broken.] ["Come on, move it people," says the first.] * Michel looks between the guys. "You got better. C'mon." * Melanie moves forward and out. * Michel follows after her. * Eric follows with Michel. [And you're lead out into the hallway. The MiBs then bring you out into a foyer. Down the grand staircase, you can see a bunch more MiBs, Frankling Leblanc, and that other old guy from last session, the latter two sitting on opposite sides of a coffee table and sharing tea. Franklin looks up. "Well it's about time you took care of that matter." MiB #1 says, "Sorry, boss."] [He motions for you to go downstairs.] * Melanie heads downstairs. * Michel looks over the two of them for a moment with a frown before following instructions. * Eric glances at those gathered in the foyer as he follows behind Michel. [Meanwhile, Franklin ignores you in favor of his more special guest. "So, Mr. Harrington, if my theory is correct, would the serum be something of interest to Dairoba?"] [The guy called Harrington responds, "Well, Mr. Leblanc. I can't speak for the home office, but I can assure you, things look promising." He speaks with faint traces of a British accent. "The Japanese area always looking to adapt new technologies. That is, IF it works."] [Franklin nods. "We'll know in a minute." And as if on cue, Richard emerges from a room on the side, dragging Professor Gutenberg by the arm. He throws the old man roughly on the floor. "It took him long enough, but finally the old bastard finished it."] ( It's like I'm telling a story instead of GMing a game. XD ) (Well, we are kinda stuck until we get a shot at stabbing them all with stakes.) [Franklin nods. "Excellent work, son." He turns back to Harrington. "And now you'll see why I didn't want you to turn my daughter. I believe I've managed to isolate the required genomes necessary to get Professor Gutenberg's serum to work."] [Harrington nods. "As you've said."] [Franklin nods. "Quite. But she is my daughter, and I'm reluctant to make the attempt until we finalize our arrangements. Shall we talk pricing?"] [Harrington leans forward. "Actually, Mr. Leblanc... the arrangement's already been made. Leblanc Industries is going to merge as a subsidary of Dairoba."] [Franklin blinks. "... What? But..."] [Harrington nods. "Yes. We've already made arrangements with the new management." He looks past Franklin, and Franklin follows his gaze to his son, Richard.] [Richard smiles. "Sorry, dad. But I'm a Leblanc. We're ambitious."] [Franklin looks from Richard to Harrington. "You can't do this. You can't!"] * Michel puts his hands in his pockets as they apparently wait, grabbing the stake in there. Best to be prepared to move. [Harrington lights a cigar. "Mr. Leblanc, you really should have considered letting me turn you as well as your son. We might have found a spot for you. But as it is..." He looks to Richard.] [Richard draws a gun. A .357 magnum, from the looks of it. Franklin jumps to his feet, screaming "No!" Just before he's shot through the head.] O_O [Harrington gets splattered with blood, but he doesn't seem to mind. He just says, "Congratulations to the new head of the Leblanc subsidery."] * Melanie gasps quietly, unable to help it. [Richard smirks, and hands Harrington a syringe. He takes it and stands up.] [Then Harrington heads for a back room. Right as he reaches it, he stops, then glances back at Richard. "Oh, Mr. Leblanc."] [His eyes flick towards you. "Take out the trash."] [He disappears into the room, while Richard and the MiBs turn towards you.] * Michel grimaces, then murmurs, "Well, that's that, then." "Who is your new partner testing the serum on? Not that I can't guess." Eric scowls, looking disgusted. [And then there's an ear-piercing shattering sound as the windows explode. In jump a bunch of guys in black. One points at the Professor and screams, in a thick German accent, "There! The Professor!"] [Chaos ensues! Session End!]
